YOUR FIRST GATHERING

We know visiting a new community can feel uncertain. Here’s what to expect.

What Are Gatherings Like?

Bahá’í gatherings are usually small, warm, and informal. They may include:

  • Short prayers or readings

  • Quiet reflection

  • Open conversation

  • Simple refreshments

  • Time to meet others

Dress is casual. Children are welcome. Questions are encouraged.

What Should I Bring?

Just yourself. There are no rituals, no requirements, and no expectations.

How Do I Find One?

Gatherings are held in homes, community spaces, and libraries across Douglas County. Contact us so we can share the detailed information with you.

We know new experiences may take courage, and we will do our best to help you feel at ease.
