Who we are

Rooted in Faith, Grounded in Community

The Bahá’í Faith has been present in Colorado for more than a century, growing quietly through friendship, service, and shared spiritual life. As families made Douglas County their home, a local community naturally emerged — shaped by prayer, learning, and a commitment to unity.

Today, Bahá’ís across Parker, Castle Rock, Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, and surrounding communities work alongside neighbors and friends to foster spiritual growth, strengthen families, and contribute to the common good.

Guided by the principle of the oneness of humanity, we strive to build a community where diversity is honored, consultation guides decisions, and service expresses belief.

A Spiritual Path Rooted in Unity

Bahá’ís believe in the oneness of God, the oneness of humanity, and the oneness of religion. Across history, divine Messengers such as Abraham, Moses, Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, and Bahá’u’lláh have guided humanity’s spiritual and social development.

Bahá’u’lláh, the Founder of the Bahá’í Faith, taught that humanity has now reached a stage where unity is not only possible, but essential for our collective future.

Central teachings include:

  • The unity of the human family

  • The equality of women and men

  • The harmony of science and religion

  • Justice as a guiding principle of society

  • The elimination of all forms of prejudice

Bahá’í life encourages prayer, independent search for truth, and service to humanity as expressions of faith in action.

Service and Social Action

Building Capacity, Strengthening Communities

Across the world and here in Douglas County, Bahá’ís work alongside neighbors to address the roots of social challenges and strengthen the foundations of community life.

Our approach emphasizes:

Youth play a central role — tutoring younger children, organizing service projects, supporting neighborhood well-being, and helping build bridges across differences.Through prayer, learning, and action, we seek long-term transformation that nurtures both inner life and social progress.

“Be anxiously concerned with the needs of the age ye live in, and center your deliberations on its exigencies and requirements.”
